About OurServices

Healthy HandsRepetitive stress injury is a cumulative trauma disorder stemming from repetitive, forceful, or awkward movements of the upper extremity. Damage to muscles, tendons, and nerves of the neck, shoulder, forearm, and hand can result. Functional deficits are caused from pain, weakness, numbness, edema, or impairment of motor control.

Repetitive stress injury can be managed by the patient through modification of movements, tools, and environment. In the clinic, Rebecca uses manual therapy, nerve glides, desensitization, modalities, splinting, taping, and appropriate exercises to encourage optimal results.

Rebecca teaches each patient how to manage their injury while performing appropriate therapeutic techniques to decrease stress on affected structures and promote overall healing and return to function.
